Bergamotto: Fragrance Description

Warmth adds its flavor nuances and desires. Jean-Claude Ellena gives us such beautiful fragrances in collaboration with Laboratorio Olfattivo. His interpretation of bergamot is refined, with elegant bitterness, soft, resilient woodiness, juicy orange peel, peppery spiciness of green cardamom, and light tart floral. The Viaggio in Italia (Journey to Italy) collection of portraits expanded with two more fragrances from this master perfumer. After finishing six bottles of Mandarino, I think Limone and Bergamotto need to be repurchased.

Although citrus fruits come from China, bergamot is Italian. It's a pity that no one knows who created it by crossing a lemon tree with a bitter orange: this inventor could have been honored like his colleague Clement, who invented the clementine. Italian merchants sold bergamot in the Chinese market to add fragrance to second-rate tea, which they sold back to the English market. I often asked if I have olfactory preferences. I always said no, wanting to hide the manipulations I perform with fragrances since a perfumer always works as an illusionist. Yes, I have preferences, and they change according to my needs and desires. I have transient love and solid, eternal love, among which is my love for bergamot. It's time to make this official!
